Salud itself is a 25 ft George O'Day sailboat possessing a
combination of beauty, speed, and luxury that sets it apart amongst
the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. The hull is painted a
reflective light stone blue so that as the sun's rays reflect off
the rippling waves the hull takes on the appearance of Italian
marble. The sail cover, and biminy are royal navy blue, and along
with the sails have silver trim. The name of the boat is
embroidered across the sail in silver, designed to mirror the
beauty of the stars, and the moon against the dark blue night sky.
The interior has matching royal navy blue upholstery with silver
trim producing a sense of cool that balances out the cherry wood
finish, lit during the day with the Caribbean sun, and at night
with lantern, and candle light in addition to modern fixtures.
Salud sleeps four comfortably; a couple in the master bedroom at
the berth of the boat, and an individual in each of the two guest
beds. There is a living room, kitchen, bathroom, shower, and a
storage space for luggage and scuba gear. The boat has a surround
sound stereo system with a CD player as well as other amenities
such as a VHF radio system for communication, and an assortment of
complementary fine liquors. On Salud you will enjoy a romantic,
and comfortable stay aboard the winner of the 2003 Hope Town
Regatta, a victory that makes Salud famous in the Sea of Abaco for
its speed. The boat's high hull which is designed for speed also
enables it to glide right onto beaches, a convenient feature for
island hoping.
